The front and rear radar units represent an absolute innovation in the motorcycling world and are extremely compact, blending perfectly with the bike’s styling, without compromising its unique design. They enable the use of the innovative Adaptive Cruise Control system, which can be easily managed from the instrument panel using the special button. It adds to the traditional functions the detection of a vehicle ahead of the bike and acts on the engine and, if necessary, the braking system to manage deceleration, before returning to the previously set speed as soon as the lane is clear again. Meanwhile, the rear radar manages the Blind Spot Detection function, which alerts the rider to potential obstacles not visible directly or from the rear-view mirror. Warning LEDs, perfectly matched to the rear-view mirror design, switch on to signal a potential obstacle in the blind spot or about to enter it, and flash when the rider activates the turn indicator and there is another vehicle in a potentially dangerous position. These two advanced systems, which are particularly useful for long motorway journeys and urban riding, can be easily customised using a special button on the handlebar and complete the excellent electronic outfit of the new Multistrada V4, offering the rider an even more pleasant and safe riding experience.
